Marketplace: An Overview of the Marketplace Section in KnowledgeCity LMS

Summary

The Marketplace feature allows LMS admins to easily manage and expand the course offerings available within their portals. It automates the process of adding courses from KnowledgeCity’s catalog and provides the ability to purchase access to additional content directly through the LMS.

Introduction

The Marketplace is designed to empower you with seamless access to a full catalog of KnowledgeCity courses. The Marketplace not only allows you to easily request additional content within the LMS but also provides you with an internal hub to continuously update and manage our comprehensive course offerings. This ensures you always have access to the latest available content, enhancing the learning experience of your learners, and maximizing the value of your available subscriptions. With Marketplace, we bridge the gaps between content and learning management, delivering a dynamic, up-to-date, and user-friendly platform that supports continuous learning for your growing needs.

Category Synchronization

At the top-right corner of the Marketplace page, you’ll find the Category Synchronization button. This feature allows you to quickly sync all new Marketplace courses to your portal library.

Before using it, make sure to:

  1. Enable the toggle “Automatically publish new courses to Portal Library.”

    • This ensures that any new Marketplace courses will be automatically added to your portal library.

  2. Map the categories under Match marketplace categories with portal library categories.

    • Select the corresponding Portal Library Category for each Marketplace Category (e.g., Leadership → Business Skills).

    • This mapping ensures new courses are correctly organized when published.

Once done, click Save Changes. The system will automatically handle publishing and organization of new Marketplace content within your portal.
