📘 Introduction
The AI assistant answers in‑scope questions about course content the users are accessing and offers clickable suggestions to help learners start or continue conversations.
⚙️ Requirements
Before using the AI assistance feature, ensure that the following conditions are met:
Portal version: 2.0
Ensure that your learning portal is on 2.0. If not sure, please contact your administrator.AI assistance is enabled for your account
This option can be enabled from the backend by KnowledgeCity's team. If you’re unable to view the feature on the portal, please check with your admin to ensure that the feature is enabled from the back-end.Course access
The feature would only be accessible for the courses that the student has access to.
🪜 Steps to Follow
Login
Log in to Knowledge City’s learning portal by using your credentials (username & password)example illustration of main sign in page Access a course
From your assignments, select the course you’d like to proceed with - or choose any course from the library that you have access to. Click on the course card to open the course page.example illustration of my learning page Launch the AI assistant
Click on the icon in bottom-right corner of the screen to launch the AI assistant. It will then load the clickable suggestion for you to select from.example illustration of launching the AI assistant Getting AI assistance
Click on one of the suggestions and the AI will generate a response after going through the entire course contents. You can then view the response in the same window.example illustration of AI generated response Communicate with AI & share feedback
Once the AI generates a response, you can type another prompt in the text box to continue the conversation or provide feedback on the response by clicking the thumbs-up or thumbs-down icons.example illustration of communicating with AI Clear history & minimize the assistant
To clear your chat history, click on the “clear history” icon. If you’d like to return to the course and continue learning, click the AI assistance icon to minimize the assistant.
